May favourites

So it's June tomorrow which means SUMMER! (Even though it hasn't really been feeling like it!) So I've decided to do my may favourites on what I have been loving this month. I'm still quite new to this so I'll give it a go!

1. My first favourite has been my Rimmel London BB cream. It says that it has '9 in 1 results: primes, conceals, moisturises, minimises pores, conceals, covers, smoothes, mattifies, brightens and helps protect'. I agree with all of this as it has delivered everything that I need in an everyday foundation/ primer with just one step. BB creams are so useful as they don't take much time at all but they are still very effective. This product has great coverage, much like a foundation. Oh yeah and it was £6.99 from superdrug.

2. My next favourite this month has been my real techniques brushes. These are the best thing ever! Literally! They are such good quality and such a pleasure to use. They are so soft as well! Thank you Samantha Chapman! The individual brushes are around ten pounds from Superdrug and Boots, superdrug is a bit cheaper! And the core set is around twenty pounds which is amazing too.

3. My next favourite is American Apparel. I love it sooooo much. My dad recently went to New York and brought me back a few things including my skirt. I already have a few accessories. I will definitely be purchasing more from there before I go on holiday! I'm saving up you see!

4. My next favourite has been Gabrielle Aplin's debut album English Rain. Please don't get me started omg it is P.E.R.F.E.C.T. I have been listening to it non stop since it was released. I have been a fan of Gabrielle's for some time and she is just so talented. All of her songs are beautiful and this is one of the only albums which I like every single song! I find that there's always one song which I don't like as much but I love all of them! My favourite is definitely home which I think she is bringing out as a single! Yay! So yeah, if you haven't listened to it already you should definitely check it out!

5. So my final favourite is The Great Gatsby. WOW, ok so I saw the film the other day and it was so good. I think that Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of such a classic books is phenomenal! The cast is amazing and Leodardo's portrayal of Gatsby is spot on in my eyes. I love Leo a lot ok. The whole thing was so well done and I really want to see it again before it comes out on DVD, and then I'll be able to get it!!! Also the soundtrack was amazing, I love it so much and I have been listening to it on repeat all week! Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Ray is amazing. So the day after I saw the film I decided to go out and get the book and start to read it. Well I've nearly finished it so to say that I don't like it is an understatement. I don't really know why but I love the story so much. It's also so interesting to compare the film with the original text as well.

So that was my May favourites. I hope that you have enjoyed reading it and please let me know if you have any suggestions on anything that you would like me to post about. Bye for now and I hope that you have had a very good May :) -Martha xox

Pastel nails for spring

One of the best trends for spring is pastel nails. They're so pretty and cute and they go with everything. I always have to wear polish on my nails, I feel naked without it so I tend to go for lighter less noticeable colours so that I can get away with it at school.
My two combination at the moment is Essie's Fiji and MUA pistachio ice cream. They go so well together and I just love them.

Fiji was £7.99 from boots but if you're lucky enough you can get Essie at a huge discount for £1.99 at www.fragrancedirect.co.uk MUA are a much cheaper alternative to essie at only £1 in superdrug. Some of the colours are very similar to Essie and so is the packaging so if you have a superdrug near you, you should definitely check out the MUA counter for some very reasonable makeup items.
Thanks for reading and I hope that you have a great weekend :)

Just a quick introduction

Ok, hello, so I've always wanted to make a blog but I've never really know where to start so here it goes. I'm not really sure what and when I'm going to posting but I hope that my posts will interest you a little bit. I just thought that it would be nice that I could have somewhere where I could express myself and what I'm loving and to be myself :)
So my name is Martha, I'm fifteen and I live in England. I'm interested in many things but mainly photography, fashion and makeup (like most girls aha)
So yeah, this is my introduction
